Testing for dysgraphia
There are a number of factors to take in to consideration when testing for dysgraphia, such as language processing, fine motor skills, memory retrieval, pen/pencil grip, handwriting posture, visual spacing, and whether or not difficulties like dyslexia or dyspraxia may be present.
An educational psychologist can test for dysgraphia through a face-to-face assessment, however this can cost up to £800 and there is sometimes a lengthy waiting list.
At Dysgraphia Help we offer an online test for £32 for people aged 8 and over which can act as a preliminary/indicative diagnosis. We are not educational psychologists but have become familiar with the signs and symptoms of dysgraphia through extensive research. We have also had experience in testing for dyslexia and dyscalculia.
Once the test has been completed and a handwriting sample has been submitted, you will receive a report within 2 working days. If we believe dysgraphia to be present, we will also send over some supporting activity materials free of charge.
